Mentoring migrants and migrant women – A guide for organizations

In 2022, we ran as many as 3 mentoring programs at MIP: for adults, for seniors, and school mentoring. Chcemy podzielić się swoim doświadczeniem i wiedzą na temat mentoringu w tych trzech grupach.

Mentoring is a kind of professional friendship. It is informal and unpaid, operating on a 1-on-1 relationship between the Mentor/Mentee and the Mentee. Mentor on a volunteer basis supports, shares experience and helps Mentee find his way in the reality that is new for Mentee. Mentee – is a migrant/migrant, looking to make new friends, brush up on language or just find a friendly face in a new place.

Based on the implemented activities, we have prepared a publication that will be helpful to organizations/institutions that would like to implement mentoring in their local communities.

This publication provides tips on how to organize mentoring programs, how to find mentors and mentees, and how to build relationships between them. The publication also includes practical examples that show how the Mentoring Project has been implemented in various communities.

If you are interested in developing mentoring activities in your local community, this publication will be of great value to you. You can learn how to conduct effective training for mentors and mentees, how to measure the effectiveness of the program, as well as how to promote the project in your community.

Mentoring is a great tool for anyone who wants to help migrants/migrant women become a real part of the local community.
