Migrant Info Point is a place that was established in autumn 2013 for foreigners living in Poznań. The creation of the point was inspired by recommendations based on research by anthropologists from the Institute of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań, published in the work “From guests to neighbours. Integration of foreigners from outside the European Union in Poznań in education, on the labour market and in health care ”edited by Natalia Bloch and Elżbieta M. Goździak in 2010.
From guests to neighbours. Integration of foreigners from outside the European Union in Poznań in education, labour market and healthcare, 2010
The book was the first attempt to diagnose the barriers faced by immigrants in the process of integration in Poznań, in the three most important areas: the labour market, education and health care. The publication contains specific recommendations and suggestions of good practices, which were also presented at the conference connecting the scientific community, representatives of local authorities and non-governmental organizations.
