Winter holidays (30.01 – 12.02) are about to begin in Wielkopolska schools. This is the time when students do not have lessons. Poznan`s institutions have prepared an interesting offer of activities for children and young people, and we have decided to collect it for you. Take a look at our schedule.

Free of charge activities

1. Warsztaty z cyjanotypii / Cyanotype workshop / Майстер-класи з ціанотипії / Семинары по цианотипии 

Posnania City Publishing House 4.02.2023 (Saturday) at 10.30 am – 12.00 pm Age group: 10-15 years old Workshop of Posnania City Publishing House, 44 F. Ratajczaka St. Description of activities: Workshop introducing the technique of noble photography – cyanotypy, during which participants will first learn what cyanotypy is and what are its various stages, and then create their own compositions, which they will expose and wash according to the art. 2. Warsztaty “Tik tak, tik tak – a w zegarze czegoś brak!” / Master class “Tick, tick, tick – and the clock is missing something!” / Майстер-клас “Тік-так, тік-так – а в годиннику чогось бракує!” / Мастер-класс “Тик-так, тик-так – а в часах чего-то не хватает!”  

Posnania City Publishing House 7.02.2023 (Tuesday) at 10.30 – 11.30 am. Age group: 5-7 years old Workshop Wydawnictwo Miejskie Posnania, 44 F. Ratajczaka St. Description of the activity: An activity in the form of a moving game with riddles, during which the children learn the legend of the Poznan goats with the help of the theater kamishibai and together with the Poznan goats build the tower of the Town Hall. 3. Programowanie dla najmłodszych – poznajemy Ozoboty i Photony / Programming for the youngest – getting to know Ozobots and Photons / Програма для наймолодших – знайомство з Озоботами та Фотонами / Программирование для самых маленьких – знакомство с Ozobots и Photons 

Provincial Library in Poznan Two dates: 02.02.2023 (Thursday), 10.00-13.00 coding ozobots + 03.02.2023 (Friday), 10.00-13.00 coding of photons / 09.02.2023 (Thursday), 10.00-13.00 coding of ozobots + 10.02.2023 (Friday), 10.00-13.00 coding of photons Classes for Polish- and Ukrainian-speaking children and teenagers aged 8-15. Maximum number of participants: 12 children. Provincial Library, 3 Prusa Street in Poznan, room 207. The activity is held within the framework of the Project of the Foundation for the Development of Information Society “Library for All. Equal. Different. Important.” Programming for the youngest – we get to know Ozobots and Photons. Ozobots and Photons are simple and popular educational robots. Designed to teach programming, these small and intelligent devices have gained many fans around the world. The robots develop in the youngest children logical thinking skills, creativity and stimulate independent problem solving. They work well in classes in many subjects: math, nature or art. By working in groups, workshop participants additionally learn to cooperate. “Programming teaches how to think” by Steve Jobs Enrollment from January 10 to 31 this year on the website of the Regional Library: www.wbp.poznan.pl Application form active from January 10 on the website and on FB of the library. 4. „Zimowe opowieści” – warsztaty dla dzieci / “Winter stories” – workshops for children / “Зимові історії” – майстер-класи для дітей / “Зимние истории” – мастер-классы для детей 

Provincial Library in Poznan 30.01-31.01 and 06.02-07.02.23 (Monday, Tuesday), 10.00 – 12.00 am Classes for Polish- and Ukrainian-speaking children of school age 6-12 years, younger children can participate accompanied by an adult guardian. Maximum number of participants: 15 children. Provincial Library in Poznan, 3 Prusa St., room 215. The activity is held within the framework of the Project of the Foundation for the Development of Information Society “Library for All. Equal. Different. Important.” Winter stories is a literary multicultural workshop conducted by the storyline method. A series of four classes, during which children will create their own winter story (with different endings). During the meetings, participants will freely play, act, participate in dramatic scenes and create in many artistic techniques. The result of the work – a mock-up/interactive book, will allow reading the story invented by the children. The resulting story will be continuously recorded by the facilitator during the project. The story in its final form will be translated into Ukrainian. The activities will be accompanied by unusual books that can be read with the help of images and the sense of touch: pop-ups and illustration books. We will learn and talk together, not only with words. 1. Spektakl “blisko” / Performance ‘close’ / Перформанс “Зблизька” / Спектакль “Вблизи” 

Children’s Art Center in Poznan January 29, at 10 am / 12 noon Age group: 0,5 – 3 years. Common Stage (ul. Brandstaettera 1/ ul. Za Cytadelą) Come closer, see, touch, feel. Look inside. Our stories – hidden one inside the other, waiting to be discovered. “Close” is a performance about building relationships. Two dancers reveal to the audience the world of magical bonds that bring people together. Proximity – I, you, we – family. Each of us carries a piece of it within us. Building bonds, step by step, we discover the world. The world of our relationship. Proximity and all that arises from it. Birth. It is a performance that touches children’s senses, while referring to the story of life. “close” is a performance that will become an adventure of discovering the secrets that lie dormant inside each of us. Full of movement and constant surprises. It is a return to the space from which we all come, a search for experiences common to us and our children. “Close” is a play about parenthood and all the meanings it brings with it. The child – as the center of the world, built from the particles of both parents. Child – the mystery of life, which we are still discovering. 2. Działania warsztatowe „Zimowe malowanie” / Workshop activity “Winter painting” / “ЗИМОВІ МАЛЮВАННЯ” майстер-клас / Деятельность мастерской “Зимняя живопись 

Children’s Art Center in Poznan January 29, at 1 p.m. Age group: from 3 years of age. Common Stage (ul. Brandstaettera 1/ ul. Za Cytadelą). The events take place as part of the “Wspólnie Спiльно” program implemented with the support of UNICEF and the City of Poznań. During the workshop we will create a winter landscape. Children will learn about color harmony and the specifics of painting with paints. How do you think, is winter white or gray? Or maybe it’s not so simple at all. What color is your winter? Participation is chargeable – tickets are already on sale. 3. Działania warsztatowe „Sztuka origami” / workshop activities “Art of origami” / мастер-классы “Искусство оригами” / “ОРІГАМІ АРТ” майстер-клас  

Children’s Art Center in Poznań January 29, 2:30 p.m Age group: from the age of 5. Common Stage (ul. Brandstaettera 1/ ul. Za Cytadelą). The events take place as part of the “Wspólnie Спiльно” program implemented with the support of UNICEF and the City of Poznań. Can you make a paper dog? And the tiger? No scissors or glue… During the workshop we will make paper animals using the origami technique. This game helps to develop imagination and fine motor skills. Participation is paid – tickets are on sale now. 4. Półkolonie multisportowe / Multisport half-schools / Напівколедж мультиспортивного профілю / Мультиспортивный полуколледж 

Youth Sports Center Two dates: 30.01 – 03.02.2023 / 06.02 – 10.02.2023 Age group: 7-12 years. The child should communicate in Polish to a basic degree. Meeting and reception point for participants: Poznan, 34 Spychalskiego St. During the day, participants will visit various sports facilities and places in Poznan. Sample daily schedule: 7:30 – 8:00 Arrival of participants at the meeting point / 8:00 – 9:30 I block of sports activities – team games/activities with an instructor / 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. II breakfast / 10:45 – 11:15 a.m. II block of sports activities – team games/classes with an instructor / 11:15 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. non-sports activities e.g. swimming pool, ice rink, cinema / 14:00 – 14:45 lunch and rest / 14:45 – 16:00 contests and games / 16:00 – 16:30 reception of participants The organizers provide: care of qualified staff from 7:30 – 16:30, medical care, a wide program of sports activities carried out at the facilities of Poznan Sports and Recreation Centers, non-sports activities, II breakfast, lunch and drinks during the activities, gifts for participants, NNW insurance. For children with allergies, we will try, as far as possible, the catering company serving the half-school will prepare appropriate meals. (Please make an appropriate note in the camp card). Participant of the semi-colony must have a change of: sports shoes, sportswear (T-shirt, shorts, tracksuit). Enrollment can be made by providing a signed qualification card available at https://posir.poznan.pl/cykle/akcja-zima/polkolonie to the Organiser in person or by email to polkolonie@posir.poznan.pl. Important: In case of sending a scan of the enrollment form, the original document must be delivered on the first day of the camp to the manager of the Half Day Camp present at the place where the classes are held. Participation in the half-schools is paid: a person from outside Poznan – PLN 660 / a person from Poznan – PLN 500 / a person holding a Large Family Card with the territorial code of Poznan (beginning of the card number 3064011) – PLN 400. Payments for the child’s participation in the half-school should be made no later than 5 days before the beginning of the selected period to the Organizer’s bank account PKO BP S.A. 19 1020 4027 0000 1702 1262 2355. After this date withdrawal from the participation with refund of the paid fee is not possible, unless the reason for resignation is illness, for which the participant will present an appropriate medical certificate. The title of the transfer should include Półkolonie MOS and the child’s name and surname.
