Discussion from the series “Arab World – stories from the Middle East” – Yemen
02 December 2020
Yemen, in the old days Arabia Happy – Arabia Felix – and now the site of the greatest humanitarian catastrophe of the 21st century. Despite the civil war since 2015 and the coronavirus pandemic around the world, the country is home to almost 30 million people, whose situation is getting worse every moment.
✔️What is their daily life like?
✔️What was it like before the outbreak of the war?
✔️Why is there no end to the problems in Yemen after the years have passed?
You can know the answers to these and other questions during a discussion with Amir Alborihi – an Arabist by education, half Polish and half Yemeni, who spent 17 years of his life in pre-war Yemen.

Lecture and discussion in Polish.
